2835 Led Strip Light: Everything you Need to Know
Light up your home or office exactly how you want with LED strip lights, which are convenient, economical and environmentally friendly. Light from LEDs is one of the most efficient on the market, providing around 50,000 hours of illumination, the equivalent of six years of continuous use. A LED strip light allows you to create light and dark areas to suit any mood or requirement.
LED strip lighting: what is it?
The LED strip light can be used in both outdoor and indoor settings, and can be used to light a variety of locations. A flexible circuit board with a lot of very small LED light emitters is used as LED strip lights; they are usually purchased as a roll and cut into shape and mounted using a double-sided adhesive. Using one or more rolls of 2835 led strip light, you can create all kinds of light effects and displays because the lights come in a wide range of colours and brightness levels.
The design and functionality of LED strip lighting make it a popular choice for homes, offices, and retail premises. A typical roll is about half an inch wide, but strips can be applied in multiples to cover areas of all sizes and widths. With a flexible circuit board, LED strip lights can also be installed on curved and uneven surfaces. By peeling off the back layer of the strip and sticking the lights to the desired surface, the lights can be mounted very quickly.
Is LED strip lighting right for me?
LED strip lighting is available in a wide range, and which type is the best depends on its application and where it is being used. A variety of uses can be achieved with LED strip lighting, including outdoor lighting, workspace lighting, alcove lighting, wardrobe lighting, and ambient lighting.
Outdoor vs. indoor strip lighting
The LED strip light can be used both indoors and outdoors. The IP rating of your LED strip lighting will give you an idea of how protected it is from water and other particles, so make sure it is water-resistant for outdoor installation. You can use our Concho LED strip for outdoor applications, and our Boa, Krait, and Adder LED strips for indoor applications.
IP ratings
The IP rating indicates the level of protection a product has against small particles like dirt, dust, and sand, as well as liquids. LED strip lighting should be checked for its IP rating to ensure it's safe for use in your chosen environment. IP ratings include two numbers: the first equates to protection against solid particles, such as dust, and the second equates to protection against liquid particles. When used in protected indoor environments, lower IP ratings are fine, but when used outdoors or in areas with heavy splashing, contact, or debris, a higher IP rating will be required.
Brightness of LEDs
Bright or soft lighting depends on whether you're lighting an area for clarity or ambience. LED strip lights are measured by lumens, and most good quality LED strip lights will give out 1500 lumens per meter, though for spaces that require dimmer lighting, fewer lumens may be acceptable.
Strip lighting: white vs. colored
Colors of LED strip lights are available. It is common for LED lighting strips to be white, perfect for most indoor settings, but even within shades of white, there are a number of different LED lighting strips to choose from, some featuring warmer or cooler whites. Using tunable white strip lighting, you can adjust the colour temperature between warm white and natural white.
The RGB strip lighting provides even greater flexibility, allowing you to choose from an assortment of colours. This can be used for a variety of purposes, including optical displays and children's rooms.
Smart LED strip lights
You can buy smart LED strip lights that can connect to a range of digital devices to give you greater control over your home lighting if you wish to have your LED strip lights controlled by smart technology hubs such as Google Nest or Amazon Echo. The OCTO WiZ Venom LED strip lighting is the ideal LED strip lighting for you.
Do I need a lot of LED strip lighting?
It is important to measure the space where you plan to install the LED strip lights in order to determine how much lighting you will need. LED strip lights are mounted on a thin circuit board, so wider arrays are achieved by running multiple strips of lights side by side.
